What speed should i have my lathe set at to cut brass?

I dunno about your lathe but if i used a saw to cut some pipes for my car ill cut the **** outta brass

brass is tricky, when in doubt go faster not slower though. id search for a surface speed guide chart to get specific. i go by feel and always go faster than slower. make sure your cutting edge is not too aggressive. dull your tool if need be. its better than having it get ****** into your part and snapping off. once you get it down it will cut great though.
