you can thread at any speed you want…not guarantee they will come out nicely or not, but as long as you have the thread height, minor diameter, speed, and feed all in coordinance with each other, you can thread at whatever speed you like.

the material looks like brass.. i can cut faster than that and make perfect threads.. if it was stainless you would have a chipped insert

It may look fast, but the motion of the cutter is still precisely synchronized with the rotation. That gets you a thread.

single point threading brass is very fast…. thats why they use brass to show a machine’s speed.
