Diamond 42CSL 10-Axis Swiss-Type Lathe Factory Spy Video

The Diamond 42CSL is a huge 42mm, 10-axis Swiss-type lathe that’s capable of very complex operations on large parts. This machine has Dual-Y capabilities that allow for the two tools to be cutting the same workpiece simultaneously. The 12-station VDI turret is capable of holding up to 4 B-Axis units. Each B-Axis unit can rotate a complete 360 degrees and allow for complex 5-axis (X,Y,Z,C,B) contouring operations. The video is a sneak peek straight from the factory floor….

It is very versatile. This machine got a lot of attention from press and competitors at machine tool trade shows.
The B-Axis units are really unique and they really impressed even seasoned machinists.
