Over 2 mins cycle time for turning brass, you should be ashamed of yourself if you call yourself an engineer, max should be about 25 secs

Why would you shim your tool if you have the height adjusting screw on the tool holder?

    Nice CNC job

the knurled screw on the quick change toolpost will alter the tool height

    too slow…
I bet I will make this part on my lathe in 60 sec and less… ( puma 250 m )

full up your speeds double or trible them and make a slow finish if u have some tolerances

your tool post clamp should have a central leadscrew that can be turned up/down giving you control for the height fuzzy,if not there may be some slack and or no adjustment left-in which case a piece of shim will work just as well

I have a lathe that isn’t centered either, I stuff a piece of metal under the tool post clamp. Are there manual lathes that have some sort of height control? What price range?

tool was not central to the component-good effort tho
